Employee Portal requires the following for the environment it is being installed to:
•Windows 7 or 8 for demo/test use
•Windows Server 2008 or 2012 for production use
•Windows Server 2003 is compatible but with limited support and this will be withdraw in the future. See separate installation procedure at the end of the document for Windows Server 2003. Be aware that the alternative report printing procedure which often is required when using Server 2003 is not available in Employee Portal 3 and above.
•Minimum 8 GB of memory for production environment. The Employee Portal process uses between 500 MB and 1 GB of memory at run time.
•Microsoft.net 3.5 32-bit installed and configured.
•IIS with ASP.NET 3.5 installed
•Sage 300 with Service Manager installed and working. A workstation installation of Sage 300 and Service Manger is acceptable.
•Sage 300 modules required are: GL, AR, AP, IC, and OE if integration with Sage CRM.
•For version 2: Sage 300 .net libraries corresponding to the version of System Manager installed. (Version 3 does not have any dependency on Sage 300 .net Library)
•Enough Sage 300 IAP licenses available for each concurrent users logged in at the same time. E.g. if only 10 users are logged in at the same time, but all in all there are 20 users of the system, 10 free IAP licenses are required.
•It is a requirement that the network/internet connection is reliable and has minimum 3G performance.
•Requires SQL Server used as Sage 300 database
