When Advanced Scheduling flashes up then disappears the cause is usually when the Sage Desktop has either been installed as, or is being run as, Administrator. To quickly test if this is the problem locate the Advanced Scheduling shortcut on the Windows Desktop and then open its properties window (right-click on icon and select Properties). On the Shortcut tab of the properties window select the Advanced button to show the Advanced Properties window. Ensure that the Run as Administrator box is ticked and then select OK (for both opened windows).
Double click on the Advanced Scheduling shortcut on the Windows Desktop and verify whether or not you can get to the Login screen. If Advanced Scheduling simply flashes up and away again then you will need to perform the Installation Checks; however if Advanced Scheduling now runs okay then close it down and test if it can be launched from within the Sage Desktop. If it will not run from this location then you will need to uninstall Advanced Scheduling and then reinstall it as an Administrator.
