Run the installer corresponding to the Sage 300 and Service Manager versions in use |
Use default folder in most cases and do not install the files to sage 300 folders. |
Run the Technisoft Cloud Portal Configuration tool |
This tool is normally only used once to create IIS web site and configure the dedicated portal database |
First Create the IIS web site |
Use the default values in the Create Virtual Directory screen, but consider changing the Virtual Directory Name as that becomes part of the web site URL. Do not share the application pool with other webs sites |
Confirm that the Sage 300 shared data path is either a local path or a UNC path |
If the shared data path is a UNC path to another server please make sure multi-server steps listed above have been completed |
For a single server installation do not set App Pool Identity |
App Pool Identity should be set to Local System by default |
For a multi-server installation set App Pool Identity to the user account created in section above |
Use this format when setting user name: domain\username Setting this will also give full rights to the website folder for that user. |
Set connection details to a dedicated portal Database for this application |
The database and tables will be created automatically if required when the web application runs first time. For local server you can use full stop character |
