On a multi-server installation where Sage 300 shared data or notation attachments are stored on another server, the Application Pool needs to run under a domain account which has rights to access relevant shared information and folders.
We recommend naming the domain account: Field Portal User (If there is an existing Field Portal User account setup for Field Portal online, then this can be reused as it has the same requirements)
It must be a domain account and member of the local computers' Administrator and IIS_IUSRS groups.
Setting folder rights via group membership is not always effective so please give this user full rights to:
•The Sage 300 Shared Data folder including the Windows share that is used,
•Notation object and signature folder.
•The web site subfolder of the local installation folder.
