Service Company Admin Access

When Technisoft Cloud Portal is installed a System's Admin user is created with login admin and password Admin123# . The System Admin user cannot be deleted, however, the System Admin's password can be changed by the person who has logged in as the System Admin user or any other Cloud Portal user with Admin rights.

 

Admin rights can be given to any Cloud Portal registered user. Admin Users have access to the Admin menu where they can view or manage:

Companies

Settings

Users

Audit Log

Download Log File

 

To Assign the Admin User rights to a contact at the Service Company the following steps are performed:

1.The Service Company User registers their own Cloud Portal account using their company email address and private password.

2.A Cloud Portal User with Admin rights, or the User with access to the System Admin credentials logs into Cloud Portal and gives the Pending User Admin rights.

 

Customer Portal Access

A Customer wishing to access Customer Portal must be setup as a Service Manager Site Contact, with Customer Portal access enabled. Once they have been approved they login to the Cloud Portal which provides Customer Portal functionality.

For a customer to gain access to the Customer Portal the following steps are performed:

1.The Customer contact registers their own Cloud Portal account using their company email address and private password.

2.In Service Manager, Using the V/M Setup > V/M Sites > V/M Site Contacts program, the Service Company:

Enables Customer Portal for the Service Manager Site.

Enters the registered Customer as a Site Contact, or validates they are an existing Service Manager Site Contact.

Selects the check-box to allow the contact to access the Site's information in Customer Portal.

3.A Cloud Portal User with Admin rights, or the User with access to the System Admin credentials, logs into Cloud Portal and links the pending Customer user to the existing Service Manager Site Contact

4.Provides the Security level for the customer as "Enabled as Administrator", "Enabled as General User" or "Enabled as Restricted User".

5.Approves access.
