The purpose of Dispatch management is to confirm that the employee has received and acknowledged the dispatch notification.

When an appointment is created or re-scheduled the Dispatch State will be set to the default set up in V/M Company Options until it is modified by the user.

When a new or existing appointment is assigned to an employee the appointment can be set a dispatch state and a notification can be issued to the employee for acknowledgment.

The Dispatch States available are:

Not Required

Dispatch Pending

Dispatched to Assignee

Assignee Acknowledged

Reject/Reschedule

Rescheduled

Dispatch Canceled

Cancel Acknowledged

An employee can accept or reject a dispatch notification from the field.
 
If the appointment is rejected, because the employee is unavailable, the dispatch coordinator can then reschedule the appointment to another employee.
 
If an appointment is canceled by the dispatch coordinator a notification is also sent to the employee advising them of the cancellation.

The Dispatch option can be quickly accessed by right clicking on an Appointment to raise the Menu and select Dispatch.
